Whoever said I was a dog was right! No, this isn't a spiral to self-pity. The cute little face below is the namesake of yours truly. She's been taken from an abusive life and named after me Season. Many people think Season is a fake name I've given myself, but it's actually my real name. My parents named me after a special relative with a similar name who died before I was born, and now this little dog who is being rehabilitated at Lhasa Happy Homes has been named after me.
It all came as a shock to begin with. With my dog, BrandLee, being a Lhasa I felt especially moved to write to the founder of Lhasa Happy Homes, Randee Goldman, to tell her how special her mission is.

Within 72 hours of being in Randee's care, little Season went through a life-changing process. First she went to the groomers to remove the ticks, fleas, tapeworms and muck out of her hair. Sores remain where the ticks were burrowing to suck out her blood, but she felt better without her little body being a buffet for the vermin...
